WHEN THE SHADOW IS MY MASK
Shrouded by the curtain, shadows where I feel abstracted from reality, strings try to hold me back, pride of someone wearing an heavy mask, surrounded by the silence.
A flash of light opens the scene. It seems to indicate the way to an orchestra that I perceive being noisy in this darkness. A bow and rewinding in the curtain I walk away after having defied the weakness that has now become my strength.
The inclusion of deaf people in the theater is the juggling between multiple scenes and blank music sheets.The Senzaspine Orchestra it’s composed by 450 musicians 35. Born in 2013 from the idea of two conductor and friends, Tommaso Ussardi and Matteo Parmeggiani.
From 2021 the participation in operas by deaf actors becomes a crucial part of a wider project whose aim is the maximum accessibility to music and theater spaces. Music does not sting.

Avvolti dalla tenda, ombre dove mi sento astratto dalla realtà, corde cercano di trattenermi, orgoglio di qualcuno che indossa una maschera pesante, circondato dal silenzio.
Un lampo di luce apre la scena. Sembra indicare la strada per un’orchestra che percepisco essere rumorosa in questa oscurità. Un inchino e riavvolgimento nella tenda me ne vado dopo aver sfidato la debolezza che ora è diventata la mia forza.
L’inclusione delle persone sorde nel teatro è la giocoleria tra più scene e fogli di musica vuoti. La Senzaspine Orchestra è composta da 450 musicisti 35. Nato nel 2013 dall’idea di due direttori e amici, Tommaso Ussardi e Matteo Parmeggiani.
Dal 2021 la partecipazione a opere di attori sordi diventa una parte cruciale di un progetto più ampio il cui obiettivo è la massima accessibilità alla musica e agli spazi teatrali. La musica non punge.
